Dear EmDash,
We wanted to use your platform, and we genuinely see strong potential for distributed teams. During local plugin development, we repeatedly hit friction that blocked a practical loop for contributors.
What worked with low friction:
- Reading local SQLite-backed telemetry and rendering dynamic task/log views
- Building deterministic static snapshots for reviews
What blocked us:
- Plugin execution tied to cloud-only runtime features
- Full-stack dependency for local authoring and validation loops
- Content-first abstractions where we needed event-stream-first workflows
Requirements for re-engagement:
- Local plugin runtime equivalent to cloud sandbox behavior
- Deterministic offline lab mode with auth-disabled localhost operation
- First-class support for event streams (not only content collections)
- CI-friendly local plugin tests before deployment
If these local development capabilities become available, we would be excited to re-engage and contribute to the EmDash ecosystem.
